Packing. Is. Stressful. So we do our best to make it easy.
The most important piece of advice we can give you: Pack light! You may need to carry your suitcase where buses and elevators cannot, so make sure you are comfortable carrying everything you bring yourself.
- Monitor the weather in the locations you're traveling to. Unfortunately, we haven't figured out how to control the weather yet so best to be prepared and plan accordingly.
- Roll don't fold or use packing cubes to save space and stay organized.
- Make sure your liquids meet TSA requirements.
- Choose shoes wisely. These tend to be our bulkiest items, we recommend a good pair of walking shoes and a pair of climate-appropriate shoes (boots or sandals depending on the destination and time of year). We also recommend a pair of closed-toe water shoes if your itinerary has any water activities.
- Earplugs and an eye mask. Turn down the sound and lights when you need to.
- Adapter and converter. Outlets overseas can differ from the US, so be sure to pack the right power adapters/converters!
- DO NOT put important medications in a checked bag. If your luggage is lost, this could become a dangerous issue.
- Power pack. Don't let a dead phone be the reason you couldn't get that picture.
- Feel good kit; Band-Aids, hydration packs, ibuprofen, motion sickness medication, sunscreen, imodium/pepto bismol and vitamins.
While we will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions during included meals, restrictions common here in the United States may not be familiar abroad and options may be limited/repetitive. It is our recommendation that travelers bring snacks.
