Red Eye flights
Depending on the destination's common routings, your home gateway, and our goal to get you to tour prior to the first scheduled event, Ultimate Break may book you on a red eye flight. This could mean that you are departing your home gateway late in the evening the day before the tour starts. Make sure to review your itinerary closely and be mindful of AM v. PM.
Overnight layovers
For some flight routings, it's common for Ultimate Break to book flight itineraries that have longer layovers, sometimes overnight—simply because this is the best or only routing that exists between one's home airport and their destination. These are most common when traveling to Iceland, Australia and New Zealand, because these countries are more challenging to get to.
If your scheduled layover takes place overnight, meaning your connecting flight isn't until the following day, and exceeds 8 hours, Ultimate Break will book and cover the cost of a hotel room for you to relax or sleep. These will almost always take place at larger international airports in the U.S. (think common layover cities), and the hotel will be located near or on the airport's property.
Dayrooms
There are a handful of destinations, mainly in Asia and Latin America, which have common flight routings that depart very late at night the last day of tour. For those instances, Ultimate Break will provide a dayroom for travelers to rest prior to their late flight. For those with flight packages with us, we will arrange your transfer to get you to the airport at least 3 hours prior to your departure.
