Booking flights on your own – EF Ultimate Break

For most tour itineraries, it's possible to reserve your own round-trip flights. Read on for some of our most frequently asked questions when it comes to booking your own flights.

When should I book my flights?

We recommend waiting until 60 days before your trip to book your tickets. If your itinerary changes, you're responsible for changing your flights and any fees that result. To avoid these costs, don't book flights or other travel until your trip is confirmed 60 days before departure.

When should I plan to arrive to tour?

When to arrive to tour depends on where you're going. See details below based on your tour destination.

Europe: Traveler should plan to arrive by afternoon the day after departure. That means if your tour is scheduled to depart May 5th, you should arrive at your destination mid afternoon May 6th.
Central & South America: Travelers should plan to arrive late evening the day of departure. This means if your tour departure date is May 5th, you should plan to arrive at your destination late May 5th.
Asia: Travelers should plan to arrive late evening the day after departure. This means if your tour departure date is May 5th, you should plan to arrive at your destination late evening on May 6th.
Africa: Travelers should plan to arrive late evening the day after departure. This means if your tour departure date is May 5^th, you should plan to arrive at your destination late evening of on May 6^th.
Australia or New Zealand: Travelers going to Australia or New Zealand will cross the international date line so your arrival date will be 2 days after departure. This means if your tour departure date is May 5th, you should plan to arrive at your destination the evening of May 7th.

What about flights on tour?

We include all flights between cities as part of your tour package, even if you choose "No Flights Included."

Will EF Ultimate Break arrange my airport transfers?

By electing to arrange your own airfare, it will be up to you to find your own transportation to the first hotel on your trip and to the airport at the end of the tour. Always use trusted transportation such as public transportation, license taxi cabs, or Uber.

What if I want to add flights with EF Ultimate Break?
