If you plan to bring a mobility device with you on tour, please give us a call at 800-766-2645 so we can discuss how we might be able to accommodate your needs on tour. Some itineraries, especially outside of the US, can’t accommodate certain mobility aids due to a lack of ADA regulations.
Wheelchairs
Our tours are unable to accommodate electric scooters or wheelchairs. This is due to a lack of storage space on buses. Some of our tour itineraries may be able to accommodate collapsible wheelchairs. They must be foldable to fit on buses, planes, or other modes of transit during your tour. If you plan to bring a collapsible wheelchair with you on tour, please give us a call so a member of our team can review expectations with you.
All travelers bringing a wheelchair on tour require a full-paying companion to push and support them throughout the entire trip. The dedicated companion will also be responsible for handling luggage. Please see our article on travelers who require dedicated assistance for more details.
Canes and walkers
Most, but not all, tours can accommodate canes and collapsible walkers. If you plan to bring one of these with you on tour, please submit a request or give us a call at 800-766-2645 so we can be in touch should or review any questions or information. All travelers with mobility aids must be able to comfortably keep up with the pace of the group. They’re responsible for always managing their own cane or foldable walker and cannot rely on the Tour Director, driver, local guides or other travelers for assistance.
